Season 2 of “Underground” Premieres Wednesday, March 8th!
WGN America finally announced a season two premiere date for their original series “Underground” which is set to return Wednesday, March 8 at 10 pm ET/PT. We already can’t wait!! As part of the announcement, the network also unveiled the very first teaser trailer for the second season, featuring all our favorite badass returning leads and the series’ newest character Harriet Tubman (Aisha Hinds). Also joining the cast for season two is series’ executive producer, Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner and ten-time Grammy Award® winning singer-songwriter John Legend who will have a guest-starring role as the renowned abolitionist Frederick Douglass. In more “Underground” news, the NAACP Image Awards honored “Underground” with four nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Amirah Vann) and Outstanding Directing in a Dramatic Series (Anthony Hemingway).
