Predestination Review

While the major plot line of this brain-twisty, mind-boggling paradoxical fantasy, sci-fi/time travel film written and directed by the Spierig Brothers will leave you enthralled piecing it all together. It’s the last 10 Minutes of Predestination that will be a mind f*ck of realization!

Based on a 1958 short story (All You Zombies) by Golden Age sci-fi master Robert A. Heinlein, Predestination Fantasy/Thriller, 1h 37m film adaption written and directed by Peter Spierig, Michael Spierig is about a temporal agent (Ethan Hawke) who embarks on a final time-traveling assignment to prevent an elusive criminal from launching an attack that kills thousands of people.

Ethan Hawke (Daybreaker) as The Bartender and Sarah Hook as The Unmarried Mother chemistry are so incredibly unison, it’s captivating to watch. Where we see it’s Hawke’s voice over narration of the journal-ed entries that seem to walk us through the film, it’s Australian actress who’s performance along with her transformations through out was particularly riveting to watch. She’s not only engaging but believable as her characters.

“The path you’re on, will take you to your destination.”

As you begin to understand who she is and you understand who he is and maybe you’re ready to understand who they are. It’s an incredibly clever and well told series of events that brings this adapted sci-fi to an enthralling and tantalizing genre to watch, thanks to the Australian twin brothers who brought you the 2010 vampire film Daybreakers.
