Check out the First Sneak Peek of ‘Insane Jane’!
The upcoming comic-turned-television-project, Insane Jane, reveals the first look at the initial design concept for the costume worn by actress and producer, Miracle Laurie as the title character. Based on the cult comic book from Bluewater/StormFront Productions is about a deluded, yet-well-meaning heroine who believes she has super powers, the series is created by Darren G. Davis and written by Zach Hunchar. In the concept drawing below by artist Hal Laren, series star and Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse alum, Laurie, dons her hero (“The Avenging Star”) costume.

“One of the things I love most about this process so far, is how this incredible world from the comic book translates so effortlessly to TV. The costume is a marriage of both visions and just one example of the awesome collaboration I’m talking about. I can’t wait to wear it! ” said Laurie.
“It is SUPER amazing to see Jane’s costume evolve to include the little tweaks we made for the TV Show. I could not be more honored and excited! ,” said screenwriter Tracy Morse.
The character made her debut in 2010 and added a unique take to the pantheon of superhero literature. Original writer Zachary Hunchar describes her: Take youthful energy. Add in some over-active imagination. Mix in some powdered donuts. Sprinkle it with delusional disorder and you get … Insane Jane! She’s the kookiest action hero of the 21st century.
“Seeing this come to life is a dream come true. It is wonderful how close they are staying to the source material,” said creator Darren G. Davis.
The comics are available now in stores, Amazon, and wherever eBooks are sold.
