TVAD Writers Room: The X-Files review plus roundtables for Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams!
It was another busy week for science fiction here at TVAD! First up, the first four episodes of season 11 of The X-Files were reviewed. Despite some disappointment with the first mythology episode, the first four episodes were a rather impressive mix of mythology and monster of the week episodes. The chemistry between its stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson was especially notable. The fifth episode of the season, “Ghouli,” was also well-received by fans in our roundtable. The acting of the series leads blew away our roundtable guests.
Amazon Prime‘s Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams was also covered by TVAD in the form of two roundtables! The first four episodes explored the darker side of the human psyche and were incredibly intense. The last six episodes of the season injected a lot of sci-fi and a bit of magic. Not all of the episodes had as much depth as we would have liked but the series gave our roundtable guests plenty to think about.
