ICYMI: Season 7 of Once Upon A Time will be its last, and Michelle Gomez Joins the Sabrina series!

Welcome to another edition of Fantasy After Dark! We have plenty of news to share with you, but before you get started, let’s take a trip to last week’s issue to catch you up on the latest news!

That’s right Once Upon A Time fans! Season 7 of the fantasy series on ABC  will be its last, Deadline confirmed. Though the president of ABC considered a season 8, in the end, the show will be ending after its series finale in May.

Netflix’s latest twist has been adding new faces, as Michelle Gomez (Doctor Who) has joined the cast of Sabrina. Gomez will portray Mary Wardell, Sabrina’s (played by Kiernan Shipka) favorite teacher and mentor at her school Baxter High. Wardell turns into a cunning manipulator who is possessed by Madam Satan, trying to lure Sabrina in a dark path.

Guess Who: Charmed reboot casts Melonie Diaz! Plus Sabrina adds Richard Coyle!

Melonie Diaz, best known for her role in Fruitvale Station, has been cast as one of the three witch sisters in the Charmed reboot. Diaz will be playing Mel, who wanders off on a different path after a family tragedy.

Netflix’s Sabrina adds a new face! Opposite of lead Kiernan Shipka, Richard Coyle (The Collection) has been cast as Father Blackwood. As High Priest of the Church of Night and Day, Blackwood holds an ominous agenda and will come face to face in conflict with Sabrina.

Interviews: Tom Welling talks joining Lucifer and reminisces about his role on Smallville  

In a sit down with Variety, Tom Welling discusses the life-long lessons he took away from his 10-year role on Smallville and how he found his way back to television when joining Fox’s Lucifer.

When asked what he took away most from his role as the Man of Steel, Welling said:

“The idea of it being a team effort — it’s not really about one person ever — and the more you communicate the better. You have to try to elevate whatever material you have in front of you the best you can. You just try to go in there and make the best thing you can and have a good time doing it.”

Returning with “Good Intentions” on March 1, The CW released the official synopsis for Supernatural’s 14th episode! Check it out along with the episode’s trailer!

“Jack (Alexander Calvert) and Mary (guest star Samantha Smith) manage to escape Michael’s (guest star Christian Keyes) clutches and end up finding an ally in “apocalyptic world” Bobby Singer (guest star Jim Beaver). Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) continue to search for a way to open a breach, not realizing that one of their own may be working against them and costing them precious time.”

In other fantasy news, The Magicians will also be returning on March 1, with season 3’s eighth episode titled “Six Stories About Magic.” Check out the episode’s trailer below!
