The Last Ship is produced by Channel Road Productions, TNT Originals, and Platinum Dunes, along with its partners and executive producers blockbuster filmmaker Michael Bay (Black Sails, Transformers), Brad Fuller (Black Sails) and Andrew Form (Black Sails). Co-creators and showrunners Hank Steinberg (creator of Without a Trace, The Nine) and Steven Kane (The Closer) also serve as executive producers, along with Jack Bender (Lost).
The Last Ship has been well received by the audience. After it's premiere on TNT in June 2014, the show ranked as basic cable's #1 new series. The Second Season was a clear success with over 40 million adults 18+ tuning in to watch, making the show rank as the #1 Sunday primetime drama. The show averaged more than 8.2 million viewers per episode last year on TNT, VOD, and digital and mobile platforms and has quickly become a fan favorite show with a devoted following.
