NBC’s new drama, Good Girls, was off to an excellent start as their premiere was able to top ABC’s medical hit, The Good Doctor with their premiere episode. New ABC series, The Rookie, has cast Titus Makin and Alyssa Diaz.
Investigation Discovery has renewed their documentary series about when relationships turn deadly, Fatal Vows, for a sixth season. While Valor has been cancelled, Christina Ochoa will be leading ABC’s new drama, A Million Little Things. The final eight episodes of CMT’s Nashville will begin airing June 7th. The Americans final season is set to premiere March 28th.
The speculation on Lauren Cohan’s future with The Walking Dead continues as there is still no news on a contract for the ninth season of the show. Katie Holmes will be hitting television screens in a new FOX drama.

Hot Topic: Derek Luke heads to NBC drama, Zahir McGhee signs two year deal with ABC, Heathers reboot delayed, and more!
The premiere of Heathers television adaptation has been delayed. Paramount Network released a statement that the reason behind the delay is in respect of the victims of the Parkland shooting. While the network stands behind the show, it does deal with realistic social issues, including gun violence.
New NBC drama, Suspicion, has found their lead in Derek Luke. Luke will play a reluctant hero in the thriller series based on the Joseph Finder book. Derek is coming off the Netflix original series, 13 Reasons Why.
CMT and iHeartMedia have come to a multiple year deal. The networks will work together in broadcasting such programs as After MidNite with Cody Alan, along with other programs and events that will be available on multiple platforms.
Experienced Shondaland co-executive producer, Zahir McGhee, has made a deal with ABC Studios. The two year deal includes Zahir developing new projects for the network while continuing to work on current ones.
HBO has taken Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 novel and adapted it into an original film. Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon will lead the dystopian set production. Along with the returning cast, HBO has confirmed Adam Scott will be reprising his role in season two of original series, Big Little Lies. HBO’s Ballers is returning for a fourth season and Joy Bryant will be joining the series as a regular.
Guess Who: Matt Barr joining Skinny Dip, Morris Chestnut and Jennifer Carpenter heading to NBC, Rob Thomas has a new series, and more!
Valor’s Matt Barr is sticking with The CW for the new series, Skinny Dip. Ben Aldridge has also joined the series as a lead. Perry Mattfeld, Brooke Markham, and Keston John have joined the new drama, In The Dark. The new dramatic comedy from Rob Thomas, The End of the World as We Know It, has cast Josh Helman opposite Gage Golightly.
Michael Chiklis will be taking on a familiar role as he joins the cast of CBS’ new drama series, Murder. But this time, the crimes will be shown through different perspectives. Michael Trucco (Battlestar Galactica) will be moving to CBS’ new cop drama Chiefs. Violett Beane has been cast opposite Brandon Michael Hall in a new faith-based series, God Friended Me. CBS will be rebooting Magnum P.I. and have cast Perdita Weeks as Juliet Higgins. Noel Fisher (Shameless) and Michael Patrick Thornton (Private Practice) have been cast as series regulars in CBS’ new drama Red Line. Zeeko Zaki (Valor, Six) has been cast as a series regular in F.B.I.
Jennifer Aspen is set to be a series regular in ABC’s new pilot series, Staties. Breckin Meyer will star in ABC’s new legal thriller The Fix. New ABC drama series, Salvage, has cast Toby Kebbell and Jim Belushi as the leads. Mercedes Mason will be a series regular in Nathan Fillion’s drama, The Rookie. The network’s Get Christie Love reboot has cast Camille Guaty as a series regular.
A new Holmes drama will be coming to ABC, and Tisha Campbell-Martin has signed on as a series regular. USA Network alum James Roday is headed for ABC with new series, A Million Little Things. Christina Moses has also been added on to the series. Chris Warren (The Fosters) has signed on with ABC’s new pilot, Grand Hotel. Ethan Peck, John Ecker, and Luke Arnold have signed on for ABC’s new drama, For Love.
TNT’s Animal Kingdom will be adding Denis Leary as a series regular for its third season. The network has found a new showrunner for Snowpiercer in Graeme Manson. He will be taking over for Josh Friedman.
Jennifer Carpenter and Morris Chestnut make their way to NBC with a new investigative thriller, The Enemy Within. Lorraine Toussaint (Rosewood) and Dominic Chianese (The Sopranos) have joined The Village. Paula Newsome has been cast as a series regular in the NBC pilot Suspicion. The new NBC mystery series, Manifest, has cast Athena Karkanis and Parveen Kaur as series regulars.

In the wake of all the sadness, This Is Us will be focusing on something a little light hearted in the next episode. Jack and Rebecca enjoying a wedding anniversary. For those concerned with Milo Ventimiglia’s appearance, Mandy Moore reassures fans.
“We’re going to go back in time a little bit and we’re going to stay more present-day, but we’re not going to revisit the immediate aftermath of this funeral in season 2.”
In typical Grey’s Anatomy fashion, their spin-off series, Station 19, will not be introduced quietly. Lead actress, Janie Lee Ortiz talks about how her character Andy is going to make a dramatic entrance and really kick start the show.
“Andy lives for the adrenaline. It’s everything she knows. In this particular situation, there’s this panic. Andy’s so used to just stopping and dropping off the people at the hospital, not ever having to go inside and finish the job. So it’s scary, but also very fascinating.”
Robert King talks about how series, The Good Fight, isn’t afraid to touch on any real world topic. He also speaks about how this is important and really impacts those who are watching the show.
“I think it always helps that they’re walking down the same streets you are, they’re reacting to the same news you are. It gives that extra sense of reality and specificity.”
Constantin Films, the company responsible for movie franchises such as Resident Evil, will be taking on a new project. They will be heading to the small screen in a deal with Netflix for a new series. Oliver Berben, television head of the board, had a lot to say about the new series, Perfume.
“We expect to significantly increase the number and volume of TV series, and we expect to be hiring on more people to expand our German and European production operation.”

Coming Soon: Michael Patrick Jann to direct Dead Inside, Callie Hernandez heading new FOX drama, Joseph Morgan heading to FOX, and more!
Michael Patrick Jann has signed on to direct the new CW pilot, Dead Inside. The show will center on a beat cop who begins seeing the ghost of her detective brother. Joey King and Freddie Stroma will also be starring in the series. The two team up to help both living and dead victims.
FOX will be debuting an all new musical series and have chosen Callie Hernandez as one of the lead characters. Mixtape will be centered on a Los Angeles college campus and the students and staff. Joseph Morgan will be heading to FOX as well in a new series based on the Gone Baby Gone novel. Desperate Housewives veteran, Mark Moses, has signed on as a series regular for a new FOX crime drama.
The drama just keeps on coming!
